AHLA Weekly Update: Let's Demand that HCD Approves a 2.7 Million Home RHNA Target for So Cal!

2.7 million— that's the number of new homes we need in Southern California in order to meet the demand for housing from population growth, overcrowded households, and rent-burdened families. 430,000— that's the embarassingly low number that the board members of the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) decided should be built in the region in the next decade. Let's tell the State's Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) to mandate a much higher number that reflects the region's actual housing needs. We Demand 2.7 Million More Homes in Southern California! After you submit your letter to the HCD, mark your calendar for the Whittier Housing Meetup on Saturday, June 29th, at 1 pm.
