Action Item for This Week: Did you know that the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) is proposing to disproportionately allocate regional housing need to suburban and exurban cities with fewer jobs and limited transit options? (Read the full proposal at this PDF) We demand that SCAG scrap the so-called “local inputs” methodology that favors sprawl, and exacerbates the housing deficit near jobs and transit! We are calling for revisions to the Regional Housing Needs Assessment (RHNA) allocation to increase access to cities in Los Angeles and Orange Counties that are closest to abundant job opportunities.  Let's tell SCAG to increase access to areas of high opportunity for lower-income residents! We Want Homes Near Jobs and Transit! After your write to SCAG, scroll down to our Events Calendar and become a donor!
