The COVID-19 crisis has only deepened, and though lawmakers have taken steps to help vulnerable people during this difficult time, their measures thus far have proven not to be enough. And that's where once again Abundant Housing LA steps in.
Action Item for This Week: Write directly to Governor Newsom to demand that further protections be enacted for Californians during this crisis. We need sweeping measures that apply equally across the state and protect both owners and renters.
When more people are able to stay in their homes, the spread of coronavirus can be more easily stopped. And everyone is better off.
Tell Governor Newsom that we need statewide, evenly-applied measures to protect all Californians during this time.
ALSO: Social distancing can be rough. So we're bringing the socializing right to you. After the massive success of our virtual workshop last week (which you'll be able to view online soon), we've decided to ramp up our virtual events calendar. Join People for Housing-OC YIMBY and Abundant Housing LA for a virtual happy hour this Thursday! Sign up here.
And be sure to join AHLA so you can join the conversation with access to our exclusive members-only discussion forum! You can also be part of a wider conversation on Reddit at the r/YIMBY_LA subreddit.
