Action Item for This Week: It's back! Not pumpkin spice lattes— we're talking about SB50: the More HOMES Act, a proposed law that will allow more housing near jobs, transit, and in high opportunity areas, along with strong tenant protections.  Since the bill was shelved in May, State Senator Scott Wiener has fine-tuned the measure; and Governor Gavin Newsom and Senate President Pro Tem Toni Atkins have both committed to advancing the law.  Because SB50 is a holdover from the last session, we need to get the bill through the State Senate by the end of January. Let's tell our representatives to support SB50!  We Demand Homes Near Jobs And Transit! After you write to your elected officials, check out the Events Calendar below for advocacy opportunities tonight (Monday evening) in Burbank, and tomorrow (Tuesday) and Thursday in Downtown LA.
