Action Item for This Week: Today, we have an opportunity to replace a parking lot with 180 apartments homes. A plan to redevelop a former Vons at Santa Monica Boulevard and Barrington Avenue has taken a key step forward with the publication of the project's final environmental impact report. The 3-acre site, currently serving as surface parking, is slated for the construction of a five-story building featuring 180 studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments. Of those apartment homes, 20 will be set aside for very low-income households, and all of them will be above a 24-hour grocery store, restaurant, and office space. Tell City Planning to replace a parking lot with 180 new apartments! Let's Build 180 Homes on the Westside!
